Social media

At NICE, we use social media to inform and engage those who use or contribute to developing our guidance. We publish a variety of content across our channels, such as guidance publication milestones, how our guidance is used in practice, our priorities and progress against strategic goals, and opportunities to get involved with our work.

When developing NICE social media posts, take care to adhere to our brand tone of voice and following our design guidelines on this page.

NICE has active accounts on:

Logo usage

Use the short logo.

The NICE logo - short

You can place it at the top left or bottom left of social media graphics, whatever best suits the design. Use a margin of 80px on 1080x1080px documents, and ensure all text and logos are aligned to these boundaries.

Image-based posts

For image-based social media posts, always use appropriate imagery. Refer to the photography guidelines for more information and include alternative (alt) text to ensure this content is accessible.

Text-based posts

For text-based social media posts, use both brand fonts to draw our audience to the most important information first. Use alternative (alt) text to ensure any text-based posts remain accessible.

Examples of appropriate text based posts

Use Lora SemiBold for headings or key statistics and Inter for body text. Be mindful not to overuse Lora SemiBold, keeping it to a maximum of 2 elements in the design.

You can use shapes taken from the graphical elements section of this guide to add visual interest to the design. If a light shade is used, you may overlay text, provided there is enough contrast between the text and the background colour. See the accessible colour pairings in our colour palette section for more information.

Using icons

Social media posts may include icons alongside copy to illustrate key points. If you use several icons together, ensure they are balanced in size and sufficiently spaced. Use alternative (alt) text to ensure any posts containing icons remain accessible.

Examples of social media posts including icons

You may use oversized icons as a focal point. You can position the icon so that it bleeds off the edge, although be sure it remains legible.

The typography rules for text-based posts also apply to this style.
